Our Writer In Motion journey is drawing to a close. Not to sound like a broken record, but I am so happy that I joined in with this blog project! I benefited so much from the opportunity to connect with fellow writers, the experience of receiving and giving CP edits, and the privilege of reading my cohort's beautiful stories.

GIDEON THE NINTH and Queer Authorial Courage

#WriterInMotion Week 3 – CP Edit: The Witch of Blue Ridge
Week 3 is already upon us! My critique partners and I started this round a bit early, as we all had our self-edited drafts ready to go. I'm so grateful to my CPs for their help in this round of the Writer In Motion event. I was nervous about the process, since this was my first time doing the event, but I had no reason to be. #WriterInMotion First Draft: The Witch of Blue Ridge
Every Tuesday, rain or shine, the witch of Blue Ridge came down from the mountain into the town nestled at the foothills’ shoulder. On this late summer morning, she welcomed the cool relief of the thick-shadowed woods. Down she went on the overgrown trail, past her carefully woven wicker wards, past the bones and bells … Continue reading #WriterInMotion First Draft: The Witch of Blue Ridge
#WriterInMotion – Day 1 – The Prompt
I decided on a whim today to participate in the Writer in Motion blog event. I follow a couple of people on Twitter who run the event, and I just couldn't resist jumping in. Here's the photo prompt: My first impressions As soon as I saw the prompt (i.e. before I had decided to participate … Continue reading #WriterInMotion – Day 1 – The Prompt
